Technology

The Facility:

The observatory is equipped with a 14" Celestron SCT telescope mounted on a paramount computer-controlled base (see pictures below). Mounted on the telescope is a SBIG ST-7 CCD. The software used to control the telescope is TheSky 6 and CCDSoft controls the ST-7 CCD.

Other telescopes include a Celestron C-8 equipped with a hydrogen-alpha solar filter, an Orion SkyView Pro 127 mm, two 6" Newtonian reflectors, and several small scopes.
